̨ʹٷվ students earn honors at national business competition

Eight ̨ʹٷվ students recently earned high honors during the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.

More than 6,000 students competed at all levels from across the nation. All ̨ʹٷվ students finished in the top 10 for their events.

Connor Clark, of Greenville, earned 10th place in Basic Office Systems & Procedures; Morgan Mason, of Belding, placed 5th in Fundamental Desktop Publishing, 5thin Graphic Design Promotion and 6thin Integrated Office Applications; Mary McQuarrie, of Ionia, earned 5thplace in Promotional Photography; Kyleigh Mills, of Greenville, placed 8th in Interview Skills; Lindsey Olger, of Lakeview, placed 4thin Graphic Design Promotion and 9thin Interview Skills; Celena Rosset, of Edmore, earned 3rdplace in Ethics & Professionalism, and 3rdplace in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts; and Claire Scott, of Greenville, and Noelle Kyes, of Belding, placed 3rdin Small Business Management Team.

BPA Advisors Bill Bishop, who is an ̨ʹٷվ business instructor, and Kristen Diehl, ̨ʹٷվ’s CIS lab coordinator, accompanied the students during the trip.

“It was a wonderful experience for all of the competitors,” Bishop said. “The students did a great job of representing ̨ʹٷվ.”

Business Professionals of America is the leading Career Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
